MEETING MINUTES—DECEMBER 10, 2007

1. Called meeting to order @ 6:00PM Joseph Mattei, Marvin Peck, & James Richardson present

2. Reviewed mail

3. Signed previous meeting minutes

4. Signed monthly lists

5. Signed bills payable

6. Signed sewer lien commitment FY2008

7. Fire destroyed 33 Bridge St building 12/9 - total loss

8. Received final certification for Revaluation 12/3

9. Recap disc for Town given to accountant for completion - assessors will need to sign final copy of Recap, page 1, and Overlay report (OL-1) for tax rate completion; will be lucky to get bills out before Dec. 31st for Town & Fire District. Recap for Fire District was emailed to Terry Williams along with signed copies of reports last week- will need signed page 1 and signed page 4 for final tax rate

10. Assistant to review chapter applications for any issues

11. Next meetings January 14th & 28th

Jim Richardson would like an article created about farm excise for town meeting: To petition the state for "home town rule" to allow non-collection of farm excise in Shelburne - need to check for correct wording for article with State Rep. or State DOR. - need 2/3rds approval vote.
