MEETING MINUTES
—October 27, 2008

1. Called meeting to order @ 6:05PM James Richardson, Joseph Mattei, & Marvin Peck present

2. Reviewed mail:

  • Sales Verifications
  • County Wage Information for Assessors
  • Raymond Hartman's Letter Regarding New Assessment
  • Comm. of Mass Notice of Revocation of "TIF" for Sweetheart Connections
  • EMH Investment letter regarding apartments on Cross Street
  • Deeds
  • New Cingular Wireless ATB Appeal

3. Tax Classification Hearing November 13th at 7:30 PM - need to reschedule Franklin County
Assessors' dinner & meeting is the same night - Bruce will check with selectboard

4. Signed Bills Payable:

  • Bishop & Associates $500.00 - Interim Year adjustment on Condos
  • Registry of Deeds $ 5.00
  • FCAA Fall Meeting & Dinner - $99.00

8. Bruce to send letter to owner of 125 Bardwells Ferry Road Regarding Assessment change

9. Signed Chapter Land Denial Notice

10. Discussed letter from the ATB about a hearing, but there are no current cases in our system

Bruce called the ATB in Boston and faxed info from the 1999 case file to them -
waiting to hear from them again - a withdrawal form was filed in 1999 with the ATB by the property owner - he has talked to Jim and stated that he is not pursuing this issue

11. Assessors' Office has been moved to Selectboard's Office - Bruce is looking over
old items to determine what can be disposed of now - some must be kept permanently
while others can be dispositioned after receiving the state's approval

12. Discussed a few issues with the Chapter Land Applications - Bruce will review information
before the Board signs them
