MEETING MINUTES—November 24, 2008

1. Called meeting to order @ 6:03 PM James Richardson, Joseph Mattei, & Marvin Peck present

2. Reviewed mail:

• September Building Permits
• Sketch of permit for 197 Zerah Fiske Road
• Letter from FRCOG municipal Finance Forums December 2nd in Greenfield
• New Cingular ATB Order
• Letter regarding Foreclosure data base available on-line to assessors
• Staples order
• Request for Property cards from FRCOG - for proposed expansion of the Shelburne Falls Historic District

3. Signed November 10th Meeting Minutes

4. Signed Motor Vehicle Excise Warrant 2008 #6 ($4,867.89)

5. Signed Recap hard copies that are ready for Town & Fire District - all have been submitted
on-line thru DLS Gateway - except one form cannot be submitted because of an error
( A-2 Enterprise Funds ) accountant needs to correct

6. Bruce met with property owner last week regarding assessment of new house - advised him to file an abatement - assessors in agreement that valuation is not too high

7. Voted unanimously to approve Chapter Land Applications and to be signed with Chairman's rubber stamp

8. Voted unanimously to donate Sony floppy disc camera with one package of discs to the
Buckland-Shelburne Elementary School

9. James Richardson requested that assistant find the necessary wording and procedure for an article to be presented at the annual town meeting regarding the town's option to not
collect the excise tax on farms

10. Next Meeting December 8th - no meeting on Christmas week
