Zoning Board of Appeals — Meeting Minutes — May 8, 2008

A duly posted meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was held at the Selectmen's Office, at 51 Bridge Street, Shelburne.

Present: Joseph Palmeri, William Sweeney, Lowell Laporte

Absent: Laurie MacLeod, Ted Merrill, Catherine Smith, John Taylor

Chairman Joe Palmeri opened the meeting at 7:10pm, noting that a quorum was present.

At 7:14, the Chair opened the hearing, a continuation of the adjourned hearing of Feb. 26 called to deal with the variance application of Jessica Murrow of 35 Mechanic St as reported in the minutes of that hearing. The Chair noted that he had received an e-Mail from Ms. Murrow requesting that her application be withdrawn. He informed Ms. Murrow that a withdrawal required a signed request from the applicant, and that she could expect a response from the Committee at its scheduled meeting on June 5 if the Board had her request in hand by that date.

At 7:20, the chair adjourned the hearing to 7:15 on June 5.

Continuing the meeting, the Board discussed what clerical procedures are required of the Board, such as the time the Board has before it must publish "official" minutes of meetings and hearings.

At 7:52, Sweeney moved to adjourn, seconded by Laporte, and it was so voted unanimously.
